Our first installment of the PNWWW Wool+ Box, in cahoots with Cooke Creek Sheep Company, Skagit Wool Works, and featuring Black Coffee Northwest and Queen Mary Tea Shop. Our theme for this release is Riparian, the transitional space between river and dry land, often wet and marshy. Our riparian zones and river banks here in Washington are frequently rocky with moss thriving in the cool, moist environment.
Your Wool+ Box Includes:
- One 4 ounce braid of hand dyed wool roving in the Riparian colorway. This is a colorway exclusive to the Cooke Creek Wool+ boxes. This colorway transitions from the sandy creek bottoms to turbulent blue water to mossy stones cradling the shore. This fiber blend is pretty exclusive to Cooke Creek Sheep Company. We took the fiber from their Coopworth/BFL crosses and blended it with their Texel/BFL crosses to produce a roving that is silky, has a slight sheen, and has that texel bounce.
- A handful of goodies collected from artists and shops in the PNW and/or handmade by yours truly. These may occasionally contain edible treats, if you have allergies or would like us to exclude food for any reason feel free to let us know in your order notes.
- One 12 ounce bag of Snoho Mojo blend coffee from Black Coffee Northwest, an absolute powerhouse of coffee here in Seattle. This coffee is a medium roast, full bodied blend with notes of hazelnut, macadamia, and blackberry. "The magic of Snoho Mojo comes from the spicy fully-bodied Sumatran coffee we've selected for this blend. Sumatran coffee often has an earthy, spicy flavor with a heavy body and low acidity."
- OR
- One 3.5 ounce tin of "Weekend in Seattle" loose leaf flavored black tea by Queen Mary Tea Room. Queen Mary has been consistently rated one of the best tea rooms in the United States and is a well loved icon in Seattle. This tea comes in a delightful tin and is described as "Enjoy a taste of the Emerald City. Fruit and botanical flavors pair with juniper berries to create the perfect Seattle cup." Ingredients: Queen selected black tea, honeybush tea, licorice, juniper berries, raspberry leaves, natural currant flavor, elderberry, spearmint leaves, natural blueberry flavor, natural cranberry flavor. Contains caffeine
